Lyrics
Love is an Ocean
All the songs seem to be about love
I lost your love, I need your love
or even - I'll get even
The Hopi sing songs about rain
of needing rain, of wanting rain,
of calling rain to come.....
So is it true that we
believe we haven't love around?
That we must plead and beg for love,
or try to pin it down?
CHORUS: Love is an ocean
And we are the spray
Love' s all around us
We can't hide away
God's in the tree, in the rock and the rain,
In the dark and the light
In our minds and our veins
It's only forgetting that makes us afraid -
so every moment our prayer must be
Open our eyes - open our hearts
open our souls- so we may see.
All the time we go looking for love -
Is it here or there or anywhere--
or out of reach forever?
Like a treasure we're sure we have lost
we keep longing for, and searching more,
and holding onto love...
So is it true that Love is there, hiding from our hearts?
A jewel just beyond our grasp
that tears our lives apart?
CHORUS
